Rare 1972 Traynor Bass Mate YBA-2B & 12 inch sister Cab / combo in Wellington Station, Prince Edward Island for sale

$400

Hey guys and gals,
You're looking at a piece of history here. A 1972 Traynor Bass Mate model number YBA-2B. A 15 Watts all tube guitar / bass amp combo driving a punchy Marsland 15 inch speaker (yes don't let the Bass Mate name fool you, These were and are sweet guitar amps!).
These were designed by Peter Traynor and Jack Long of Yorkville Sound Ltd 42 years ago in Toronto Canada before the 2 parted ways in 1976!
Back in October, I brought this to T.M., a good friend of mine and an amazing tube amp technician. He said the Amp was in incredible shape inside. All that needed replacing was a cigar shaped capacitor. I wanted to gig with it, so he put new tubes in it, installed a new power cord with a ground (back in the day these didn't have a 3 prong plug), and upgraded the speaker cable as these originally had super thin wires from the speaker, connected to an RCA jack.
So what you're looking at is not only a collector's item, but an actual gig worthy amp that's ready for action in a simple, functional, hand wired combo! Lots of bottom end, smooth highs, and punchy mids! Only 1169 of these were ever made. Also included, is a custom birch cab that you can transfer the Traynor chassis to for an even smaller combo that takes a 12 inch speaker. The Celestion Vintage 30 speaker currently installed isn't included in the price, but we can negociate something.
I'm not interested in offers or trades. $400 takes it, otherwise I keep it along with my other amps. These are selling for double my asking price on e-bay, but if you can find a nicer one, in gig ready form, with a 12 inch sister cab to go along with it for less money than mine, by all means, go for it!
I want this one to go to someone who'll appreciate it.
Call, text or e-mail!
Cheers :-)
